OUR PLANS

A new committee got elected at our AGM 2007 (read the AGM report). For now our immediate plans are to organize the best Independence Day Fiesta ever! However, we are also making plans for the future and talking to potential volunteers that will help us get back on track and organize as many events that will showcase the Mexican Culture as possible.

These are some other activities that we would like to undertake as a new committee:

• Continue increasing our member base;
• Reach out and find more about Mexicans that live in rural Victoria and find areas of cooperation with them;
• Build up the services offered by the Association, in particular those that can be offered via the web site (database of relevant contacts, tips and other such resources);
• Continue issuing the "Juntos" Newsletter quarterly(ish);
• Develop a portfolio of service providers (restaurants, shops, bars) willing to offer special discounts to those holding a membership;
• Enhance our understanding of issues faced by Mexican individuals and families that come to visit, study, live or marry in Australia.
